What is ADDIE? (Rise 360)
Problem: Transitioning teachers struggle with translating their skills to instructional design. How can transitioning teachers begin to translate their curriculum design process to instructional design?
Solution: The answer starts with ADDIE. ADDIE is a foundational design process that is part of any instructional designer’s best practice. I used this topic to build a microlearning in Rise 360 for my portfolio. Rise 360 has a new microlearning feature with so many templates. These microlearnings are a great way to design a quick course for learners to use on the go with a mobile device in a few minutes time like on a lunch break.
Building a microlearning with Rise 360 was a lot faster than I anticipated. I was able to input information easily by referring to my outline. I love how Rise 360 allows you to quickly build and organize content blocks with various built in styles and interactions while keeping font ratios and color schemes in place. I used the interactive process block template to frontload the steps in the ADDIE process. Learners will click to read about each step in sequence. I wanted to include some other key understandings about ADDIE. I used question and heading blocks to include this information. It was a fun process to quickly build a beautiful course with user interactions on Rise 360.
